About This Spot

Stepping up to Rehoboth Ethiopian Cafe, you feel immediately welcomed by a humble, unhurried neighborhood spot where warmth outweighs any need for flourish. Nestled along Murfreesboro Pike, its simple exterior invites you into a space defined less by decor and more by the genuine care spilling over with every interaction. Though indoor seating is currently a pause in the story, the outdoor picnic table invites diners to linger in the breeze and savor their food amidst the gentle rhythm of passing life.

This is the kind of place where the kitchen’s heart beats in the rich, inviting aromas of spices and slow-cooked meats mingling with the comforting tang of freshly made injera. Each dish arrives thoughtfully prepared and generously portioned, revealing the delicate balance of flavors and textures that make Ethiopian cuisine a quiet discovery for many. Whether you find yourself savoring tender lamb tibs or exploring the bright, earthy layers of their vegan combinations, the food feels less like a meal and more like a mindful sharing of culture and tradition.

The pace here naturally encourages slowing down—to appreciate the interplay between vibrant seasoning and soft flatbread, to notice the way the sharpness of mitmita spices contrasts with the mellow, sour bite of injera, and to feel the genuine friendliness of the folks behind the counter. It’s as much about the human connection as it is about the food, with an easygoing hospitality that welcomes newcomers and regulars alike.

Rehoboth Ethiopian Cafe is a quiet anchor for those eager to explore East African flavors beyond headlines or trends. There’s something deeply grounding about sitting with this food—whether solo or in company—and letting each bite unfold stories of home, patience, and tradition. For anyone open to a slower, warm-eyed way of dining, this spot offers an honest, flavorful experience that stays with you long after the last morsel is gone.

The best Ethiopian food around! Everything was perfectly spiced and perfectly cooked! No overcooked mush, no bland bites wanting more. The injera was beautifully sour and fresh. The woman was so lovely and helped us lots. The shop is closed for indoor seating but there is a picnic table outside we sat at and enjoyed the weather. We got the vegan / vegetarian combo and it was amazing and SO much food. Definitely can satisfy two people (or 2 meals just for me!!)

We loved our meal from rehoboth so much! I got the #1 with lamb and my wife got the #4 vegan. We loved them both SO MUCH. The flavors were just out of this world and so fresh. One meal can feed two hungry person, or one really hungry person. The workers there were so nice too. Cant wait to go back!

VEGAN PLATTER! Everything was perfectly seasoned. Generous portions. Very friendly. I ordered at the door, he told me 15 minutes, and 10 minutes later the food was ready. You have to try it out! I really hope they open for dine-in. I would stop in before or after flights from BNA for sure. Give them your money and keep them in business!

Great food! If you had never had Ethiopian food before, get ready for a real treat. This place serves excellent TRADITIONAL style Ethiopian food. Spicy, but easily manageable. Flavorful and bold food, unlike the regular bland American food we are used to. It’s definitely worth a try! Staff were great and friendly as well!

I want to let you know that this place is one of the best Ethiopian food in the Nashville area. The service is amazing, the food is spectacular, and everything they make is freshly made to order. My husband and I come to this place every time we're in town.
